August 3-5, 2012

Reunion Information
Pacific Alumni Assoc

Alumni, faculty, admnistrators, staff and friends of Raymond College:
The details are still being worked out, but here is information about the upcoming celebration and reunion which might help you with your planning

Hotel:
We have booked a block of rooms at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel for a special rate of $89/night. All guests get complimentary full breakfast and free shuttle within 5 miles. We'll try to set up a schedule for shuttles to and from campus.

Transportation:
People can book a blue super shuttle from Sacto airport if they don't want to get a car. If flying in to SF or Oakland, they can get BART to Amtrack and take the train to Stockton. Hotel will pick up at the train station (or bus too, but shuttle may be easier and nicer).

Getting around campus:
Our events are in three places - the new Alumni House, Wendell Phillips, and the Great Hall and quad. The Alumni House is across the parking lot from the Raymond Lodge (on what used to be the Delta College campus). All are within one short block of each other and all are visible. A UOP campus map can be downloaded here.

Registration:
There is no separate registration fee. Registration consists of picking up your name badge, schedule of events, and packet of materials and treats. Registration will open at 3 pm Friday afternoon. The Alumni House is available to us beginning at noon that day, so if you arrive early we'll be there to welcome you. Registration will be open till 8:00 that evening so anyone driving in or flying in after work can still register that night. On Saturday, registration will open at the Alumni House at 9 am and run until 4 PM. The registration desk will then move to the Great Hall and reopen at 5 pm for anyone arriving for just the reception and High Table dinner.

Costs:
We are trying to keep the costs down for the weekend. They will include reception and dinner on Friday with a no host beer and wine bar, lunch on Saturday, reception and High Table dinner with hosted wine on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. We'll have a final cost within the next couple of weeks.

Program:
We've scheduled panel discussions with audience participation on Saturday. People can attend if they want, or just hang out with friends. Each panel will include one or more Raymond alums, a Raymond faculty person, and a current faculty member from UOP. There is one set of concurrent panels from 10 - 11:30 Saturday morning, and another from 2:00 - 3:30 in the afternoon.

Food:
Friday night we're having a buffet from Nena's, a local Mexican restaurant. More details to follow.

Lunches on both Saturday and Sunday will be "build your own deli sandwich" buffets with pasta and potato salad. There will be portabellos for a vegetarian option.

Saturday there's a reception in the quad from 6 to 7 with passed hors d'oeuvres including parmesan cups with herbed goat cheese, mushroom phyllo purses, and pancetta prawns.

Saturday's High Table dinner will be served at each table - no buffet line. Wine on table. Salad is seasonal greens with glazed walnuts and apples, sides include a risotto and seasonal vegetable. Entrees are halibut or medallions of filet mignon. Vegan option is Quinoa cakes with roasted tomatoes, red pepper and eggplant sauce. Dessert is still TBD.
